This post was sponsored by Nature’s Logic. We did receive free food for helping share our thoughts about why we believe Nature’s Logic is a quality pet food, but the opinions are entirely our own. A girl and her Poms only shares information we think is relevant for our readers. Nature’s Logic is not responsible for the content of this blog post.
You may remember our post a while back about Nature’ Logic canned food. The Poms loved it so much that when we were asked to write about their raw food, we jumped on the chance to say yes!
This wasn’t the Poms first rodeo with Nature’s Logic raw- they’ve had it in their rotation for years because I love the company so much. No synthesized vitamins or minerals? OF COURSE they have to have it in their bowls!
This go-around they had the Nature’s Logic Canine Raw Frozen Chicken Feast. Nature’s Logic is one of the easier to feed raw foods. They individually package each patty, which makes thawing them in the fridge SO simple.
Just grab the number of patties you need without having to worry about them drying out if they aren’t super covered or getting meat juice in your fridge.
Let’s get down to the nitty-gritty.. The ingredients! Nature’s Logic raw is 95% animal ingredients along with 5% veggies.
Chicken, Chicken Liver, Chicken Heart, Montmorillonite Clay, Herring Oil, Dried Apple, Dried Apricot, Alfalfa Nutrient Concentrate, Dried Artichoke, Dried Blueberry, Dried Broccoli, Dried Carrot, Dried Chicory Root, Dried Cranberry, Dried Kelp, Dried Parsley, Dried Pumpkin, Dried Rosemary, Dried Spinach, Dried Tomato
The first time I saw Nature’s Logic I wasn’t sure what Montmorillonite clay was or WHY it was in pet food. Then I did some research and found it is a natural source of macro, micro and trace minerals and it aids in digestion. The Montmorillonite that Nature’s Logic uses is from Utah. A much better alternative to foreign-produced synthetic minerals many other companies use!
All of the fruits and veggies they use are thoughtfully chosen to make the food free of synthetic vitamins and minerals but still an AAFCO complete and balanced for all life stages- definitely NOT an easy thing to accomplish without a vitamin pack!
It really shows a lot about Nature’s Logic as a company, which is something I appreciate as a hyper-conscientious Pom Mom. I can honestly say the ingredient panel for Nature’s Logic raw looks like something I would try to make it if I made their food!
The big question is, how does it feed? Really, really well. All 3 Poms barked and barked until their bowls were ready, then happily chowed down. The proof is in the poop though, right? Because Nature’s Logic isn’t full of “stuff,” neither were they. Because of the prebiotics and enzymes in the food they all had small, hard non-smelly poops.
We give Nature’s Logic Raw 12 paws up in our house! It will continue to be in the raw food rotation around here!
